Thankfully, even though we were predicted two inches of snow, last night we only got a light dusting. It was just enough to leave a layer on our deck and for us to let Pearl out to have her first adventure in the snow. In a way, I wish we'd had a touch more, as seeing her frolic and dig in what little we had was so funny and entertaining.
She couldn't get enough of it, leaving her paw prints on every fresh patch, running from one end of the deck to the other and having tiny nibbles of the weird, cold stuff that coated the outside. It was almost a shame to bring her in but it was bitterly cold out and since we don't have a little sweater for her yet, we didn't want her to get too cold.
Look at that snowbeard! I can't get enough of that lovely face, every day is such a joy with her (even when she decides that the middle of the night is the best time to run around like a loon!) and I can't wait to take her for the second round of shots so I can show her off to the world on her first proper walk.

Oh my goodness- Pearl is the cutest!!!! She looks like she felt right at home in the snow. My cats haven't gotten to go outside in the snow yet (I live a block from a VERY busy road), but I've brought a handful in for them and they think it's the strangest stuff. They also love watching it fall!
